This year red wasps have invaded my hanging baskets. What can I use to kill them that won't kill my plants?

We get this question quite a bit. Fortunately there are a lot of options and none of them will hurt or damage your plants.

We have very aggressive wasps who have built multiple nests between the walls of a plastic children's playhouse in our backyard. They also built inside a baby swing in the hole where the rope holds swing. We have sprayed and sprayed but they either don't die or come back. We have used "Hot Shot wasp & hornet spray" with Prallethrin & lambda cyhalothrin.  Do we need to throw out the toys? The wasps seem to be all over this year (northern lower Michigan) and AGGRESSIVE. Any help appreciated. Two grandkids & husband have been stung so far.

I have a non aggressive wasp living in the dirt of my household plants. I have been told that they are most likely mud daubers (black bodies shaped like a wasp).

We have hornet &/or wasps nests under the roof of our patio. How do we get rid of them? They look like fuzzy white balls. Thank you!

This is an easy one. Get some of the CYPERMETHRIN featured in our WASP CONTROL ARTICLE and spray where the nests are located. This treatment will both kill what's there and prevent future nests from forming.

Hello,

We have wasps on our front lawn.  Not sure what they are doing,  getting water, food, etc?  They didn't do this last year.  In average at one time,  there may be 10 or so in various parts of the yard.  I have been very vigilant this year and have been watching for nests and getting rid of them.  What can I do to get them off the yard and why are they there?  Thank you.

I have Paper Wasps flying around my wooden deck and wooden fence at my home in Massachusetts.  I don't want my wife, myself or two dogs to be stung.  Other than finding their nests and eliminating them what else can I do to get rid of them?

We live in Eastern Ontario, we have had exterminators out 2 times and tried many things ourselves, we CANNOT get rid of theses things. They seem to multiply daily, HELP!!!!!

Commonly black, gold, orange or multi colored, this pest is commonly known as a Digger Wasp. They'll prey upon local insects and after paralyzing them, the subdued prey is brought back to the nest which is commonly found in grass, mulch or other turf areas around the home. Once in the nest, the prey insect will become food for the digger wasps young. The young will hatch from eggs which are laid on the prey insect deep inside the ground secured nest. Nests will contain 3-6 eggs and female digger wasps will farm several nests at one time.

I have a boat dock with decking and metal underneath to let water run off the top deck. Wasps go in between the decking and build nests underneath and I am unable to hit them with any kind of spray. I read in the catalog about dusting with Drione when they are in the cracks of wood. Would that be a solution or can you suggest something else?

Hello, we bought a new brick house last year and noticed we have a lot of wasps flying around and making nests. It is a brick 2 story and the wasps like to fly and land on the red/orange bricks then work their way into our casement windows and make their nests inside and on top of the window that cranks out. Also they make nests outside on high peaks as well. Last year we had about 10-15 nests in either the windows or on the house. New year and they are back is there a way to prevent these insects from being attracted to this house? I read about NBS and CYPERMETHRIN; can these be sprayed onto windows and bricks and cedar decks?
Thank you for your help!!!
