wasp repellents

We have a pool in our backyard.  We think the wasps are attracted to the water, not sure but so far in the last week I have found and destroyed 3 nests.  They built one in the reel for our hose, in the gas grill, on the chain link fence.  What can we use, do to rid us of this?  Our daughter is highly allergic to the stings and that is of course a major concern.  So far we have used a wasp spray to kill them but we are looking for something that will repel them completely.

I have a two storey house. The wasps appear to be nesting in the top of the chimmney. The chimmney is not used and is sealed off in the old fire place. What is the best way of discouraging them?
Thank you.

Found your product (PT-Encapsulated Pyrethrin Microcare) online for wasp treatment.

When looking at the product on the shopping cart page, it says for chiggers and lice.  Does this, in fact, work for wasps?  I have dozens of them buzzing around the eaves and shutters on my vinyl sided house, many of them getting inside, though I do not know how. I am looking for a repellant.

I've had an ongoing problem with wasps getting into my log home. There are lots of cracks and I've filled some but still they get in. I'm planning on doing some painting and staining this spring and was wondering if I can add the cypermetrin to my paint. Will this work?
