I have hornets going in under the trim around the to a one of my doors. I’ve found a few in the house. I also have sprayed their entrance with an ortho product and then tape or the entrance. they ate through the paper and are still entering. HELP!!
If you read through our WASP CONTROL ARTICLE, you’ll see two products mentioned. In most cases, the DRIONE DUST will be the best one suited for this application. It’s light and “smokey” and will do a good job of penetrating the wall void where these guys are no doubt nesting. As our article explains, spraying the entrance with an aerosol or liquid won’t work and it’s actually the worse thing you can d so refrain from such behavior immediately.
At this point I suggest you read our article and learn why the Drione or even with the PYGANIC DUST would be the way to go. Applied with a HAND DUSTER in the early to late evening, you should be able to knock out all occupants with one good application. If done right, the whole thing could be done in 5-10 seconds since all it will really take is 1-2 good puffs of dust. Lastly, be sure and start using some INSECT REPELLENT sprayed on the house every spring, summer and fall so you don’t have any more coming around looking to nest.
